On November 18th, 2014, the 2014 Gannan Navel Orange Online Exhibition (China Ganzhou International Navel Orange Festival), jointly hosted by China Agri-products Marketing Association and the People’s Government of Ganzhou Municipality, opened in Dingnan County, Jiangxi. With this opportunity, China Merchants Western Shenzhen Terminals (SCT/CCT) joined the Exhibition and promoted their terminal services. Mr. Dong Shengbin, General Manager of Internal Affairs of SCT/CCT, made a speech in the opening ceremony of the Exhibition.

Back in the 90’s, Dingnan County had chosen China Merchants Western Shenzhen Terminals as the cargo export base, such as fruits. Entering the 21st century, export business of the Dingnan County in China Merchants Western Shenzhen Terminals continued its booming, and it is estimated that the fruit export volume of 2014 will make a greater breakthrough.

To further promote the fruit export business, Dingnan County Government Departments and Port Office had negotiated with China Merchants Western Shenzhen Terminals on logistics, customs clearance and other aspects, and reached several intents to coordinate and support the relevant logistics operations.

Mr. Dong Shengbin mentioned in the opening that, China Merchants Western Shenzhen Terminals would arrange rapid inspection for loaded containers of the Dingnan Customers, to give priority to the shipping of the cargo from Dingnan County; and considering the mass use of freezer for fruit cargo, the terminals will cooperate with the export shippers to complete the Cargo-Worthy Inspection (CWI) in advance.

China Merchants Western Shenzhen Terminals would coordinate with the Shekou Customs and CIQ to form a new mode and simplify the procedures of customs clearance for both locations. In the future, new mode of waterway, land and railway multimodal transportation will be further explored, and the services of barge and railway, etc. will be fully utilized for customs transferring and domestic transportation, to develop new advantages of green logistics.
