Shenzhen Ports Association
SZPA
Shenzhen Ports Association (SZPA) was found on September 12th, 1990. It is a regional social organization composed voluntarily by port enterprises and port related sectors in Shenzhen, and a non-profit port association with the mission to study and promote the development of Shenzhen Port.
Over the past two decades, SZPA had done a lot of work in organizing and launching the key researches for Shenzhen Port Development, coordinating the prices issue and service complaints of the port, assisting government departments in port administration, and providing training, consultation and corporation rights defending to the industry, which played a positive role in promoting the development of Shenzhen Port.
In SZPA, the Council Meeting of Members is the supreme authority of the association. The Council is composed of the President, Vice President, Standing Director, Secretary-General, and they are elected for a term of three years. Under the Council, the Secretariat is set to deal with daily work.
At present, the 8th Shenzhen Ports Association members include over 40 organizations (individual members are not accepted at the moment). The current President Company of the Association Council is Yantian international Container Terminals Co., Ltd. The current Vice President Companies includes China Merchants Holdings (International) Co., Ltd., Chiwan Container Terminal Company Co., Ltd., Shekou Container Terminal Company Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Port Pilot Station, Shenzhen Yantian Port Holdings Co., Ltd., China Merchants Port Service (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Chiwan Wharf Holdings Limited, Dachan Bay Modern Port Development Company Limited, Shenzhen Yantian Towing & Tugboat Company Limited, Guangdong Dapeng LNG Company Limited, Shenzhen Pingyan Sea-Railway Multi-Modal Transportation Limited, etc. And Shenzhen Dachan Bay Port Investment and Development Co., Ltd. is President Company of the Supervisory Board.
The Association Council will unite all strengths of the industry and spare no efforts to promote the development of the Shenzhen Port industry, and build Shenzhen Port into a harmony, advanced and strong port.
